It is a complex topic. You should adjust the feeding amount based on your rabbit's weight changes and health status. Please consult with your vet. The calculated numbers here shall serve as a reference.

The daily pellet feed is between 0.5% ~ 3% body weight (B.W.), the midpoint is 1.75% B.W.. For underweight rabbits, the feeding amount should be slightly more (2% B.W.); for overweight rabbits, the amount should be less (1.5% B.W.). Our method is on par with the methods recommended by WabbitWiki, MediRabbit, VCA, and Oxbow.

We use the International System of Units, and we believe measurements using mass/weight are the most accurate way. We also realize the volume unit 'cup' is widely used in North America, so we provided an option to convert mass/weight to 'cup'. Please do note, 'cup' is inaccurate as it could be affected by many factors. Like the brand of pellet you use or how you pack the pellets.
